The Causey Dance Team had an unforgettable competition weekend, earning top honors at both the UDA Magic City State Championship and the DTU Alabama State Championship. Competing on back-to-back days, the team showcased exceptional talent, determination, and teamwork, proving once again why they are among the best.
At the UDA Magic City State Championship held at Thompson High School, the team claimed State Championship titles in both Pom and Hip Hop. Their creativity and precision stood out as they also earned the prestigious Best Choreography award for their Hip Hop routine.
The momentum continued at DTU, where the team wrapped up their final regional competition in dominant fashion. They finished 1st Place in Pom, 1st Place in Hip Hop, and were named JR Grand Champions. Individual dancers also shined in Middle School Solo competition, with Rosalyn placing 2nd, Piper 3rd, Emmaleigh 4th, and Eva 5th. In the Middle School Duo category, Kimberly and Reagan earned 1st Place.
This incredible run marks yet another three-peat championship season for CDT. We are beyond proud of our dancers and coaches for their hard work, dedication, and excellence on and off the floor.
The team will be traveling to Orlando for the National Competition in February.
