We are still collecting donations of snacks and drinks for local firefighters through Friday, March 6, 2026. Students may bring donations to their homeroom all this week. The homeroom that has the most donations will win a donut party! 

Items Needed: bottled water, sports drinks, energy drinks, protein bars, trail mix, granola bars, chips, crackers, cookies, or other individually wrapped snacks or treats

Causey Robotics competed in the Alabama VEX IQ Championship over the weekend. They made it to the finals and finished 19th out of 64 teams. They were also invited to attend the National Championship in Iowa at the end of the month. They have accomplished so much in their first year and we are proud of how they have represented Causey.

Causey Archery competed at the Vinemont Tournament this past weekend. Our 3D Team secured 1st Place in the tournament while the Bullseye Team took home 2nd Place. The archery teams will be competing again this coming weekend at Grand Bay Middle School.

Causey families! We are excited to provide students with the opportunity to get their sports physicals needed for upcoming tryouts during their PE class.

On Monday, April 6, Dr. Waters will be on campus providing these services to any current 6th - 8th grade Causey students for a cost of $10 (cash only). Physicals will be good for one year to be eligible to participate in athletics and other extracurricular activities that require physicals.

We are happy to help our Causey families with one less thing to worry about. Physical forms will be provided or you can download ahead of time by clicking HERE.

Current 7th grade students that would like to apply to be in advanced art for next school year may pick up an application from Ms. Ankrom in the art room. Applications will be due Thursday, March 19, 2026.

Causey Cheer Team Tryouts for the 26-27 school year are coming up soon. Current 6th & 7th grade students can pick up a tryout packet from the front office. Packets need to be turned in to Ms. Reed in Room 816 by this Friday, March 6 at 1:00PM.

A mandatory parent meeting for anyone interested will be held Monday, March 9 at 5:30PM.

Tryouts will be held from 2:30PM - 4:30PM on Tuesday, March 10 to Friday, March 13.

Causey Dance Team Tryouts for the 26-27 school year will be in just a few weeks. Current 6th & 7th grade students can pick up a tryout packet from Coach Holliman in the dance room. Packets must be turned into Coach Holliman by Wednesday, March 18.

There will be a tryout clinic held from 2:30PM - 5:30PM, Wednesday, March 25 & Thursday, March 26.

Tryouts will be held on Friday, March 27 from 3:00PM - until done.

Causey Boys Basketball Tryouts for all current 6th and 7th graders will be held April 20, 22, & 23. Tryouts each day will be from 2:30PM to 5:00PM in the gym. Students interested in trying out must have an updated physical and insurance information uploaded in DragonMax before tryouts. Tryout dates are listed below.

Monday, April 20: First Cut

Wednesday, April 22 & Thursday, April 23: INVITE ONLY

Causey Football Spring Tryouts for all current 6th and 7th graders will be held starting the end of April. Tryouts each day will be from 2:30PM to 5:00PM on the Causey football field. Students interested in trying out must have an updated physical and insurance information uploaded in DragonFly Max before tryouts. Tryout dates are listed below.

Week One: April 28, 29, & 30 (shirts, shorts, and cleats if you have them)

Week Two: INVITE ONLY - May 5, 6, & 7 (Pads/Helmets Issued)

Week Three: May 12, 13, & 14 (Pads required)

Final Football Team Cut - May 16

Club pictures for the 25-26 yearbook will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026. Club sponsors will be sending times to club members and times will be posted around campus.

Students will be allowed to wear club shirts for the school day. If a student has multiple club shirts, they should wear the shirt for their first picture to school and bring any others to change when needed.

The picture schedule does not allow for waiting and looking for students. Students must know what times they need to be there and make sure they are on time. All pictures will be taken at the front entrance of the school.

Time is running out to pre-order your 25-26 Causey Yearbook. Pre-order is the only way to guarantee a copy. Yearbooks are $40. ORDER ONLINE with the QR code. Students can purchase at school with cash or check made payable to CMS. Bring money to Mrs. Friedrich in P-4 during homeroom. The last day to pay at school is Thursday, March 12, 2026. Online pre-orders end Sunday, March 15, 2026.
